FOXBOROUGH -- He's baaaaaaaack! The revolving door that's been Ross Ventrone this season has the 25-year-old defensive back with the team once again, two days after his latest release. He was signed to the practice squad today, along with defensive end Aaron Lavarias.

For Ventrone, it's his 21st roster transaction with the Patriots since August. He's fluctuated weekly it seems, either being released, signed to the practice squad, or activated to the 53-man roster. He's appeared in eight games.

Lavarias was originally signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in July, and has spent time on the practice squad both here and with Detroit this season.
