Three players were not spotted during the media-access window for Patriots' practice: Sebastian Vollmer and Marcus Cannon.

Cannon is a new absentee, having not missed a practice since being activated to the 53-man roster last month; Vollmer has not practiced since an ankle injury against the Eagles.

Stevan Ridley, who missed the first two days of practice this week tending to a personal matter in his home state of Mississippi, was back on the field. Brandon Spikes also was out there for a second straight day.

The Patriots are practicing on the upper grass fields behind Gillette Stadium today and are in shells and sweats.
