Patriots select Arkansas DE Jake Bequette at No. 90

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots picked Arkansas defensive end Jake Bequette in the third round, their last pick of the second day of the 2012 NFL draft.

Bequette was the 90th overall selection in the draft.

Bequette is 6-feet-5-inches and 271 pounds. He was a four-year starter for the Razorbacks. In 2011, he had 10 sacks in 10 games and another 10.5 tackles for loss.

He runs a 4.82 40-yard dash.

Because of an injured pectoral muscle, he didn't participate in many of the strength drills at the combine. However, he was worked out as a linebacker for team's projecting him in a 3-4 defense.
