Although he led the New England Patriots to the Super Bowl in 2012, with the 31st ranked defense to back him up, Tom Brady was named the No. 4 ranked player on the NFL's top 100 list, a ranking voted on by his peers.

"The Top 100: NFL Players of 2012" list featured two quarterbacks ahead of Brady, including Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees.

Brady led the 2011-12 Patriots to a 13-3 regular season record while throwing 5,235 yards and 39 touchdowns on 65 percent passing for a 105.6 quarterback rating.

In his 12th year, Brady made his fifth Super Bowl appearance. He was joined on the list by fellow Patriots Rob Gronkowski (No. 21), Wes Welker (No. 23), Logan Mankins (No. 64) and Vince Wilfork (No. 81).
