Globe's Greg A. Bedard wins writing award
The Boston Globe's NFL writer, Greg A. Bedard, came in first place in the the Pro Football Writers Association's annual Dick Connor Writing Awards.
Bedard won the award for his story on Patriots owner Robert Kraft's influence on helping end the NFL lockout last year while caring for his wife Myra Kraft, who died July 20, 2011.
Kevin Armstrong, of the New York Daily News, came in second while Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com and Greg Bishop of the New York Times tied for third.
