FOXBOROUGH -- New Patriots tight end Visanthe Shiancoe spoke briefly with the media following today's training camp practice and expressed his thoughts on his role with the team.
For one, he's glad to be in New England. But he also knows there is a daunting task ahead of him in preparing to be part of an offense directed by Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels.
"It's just a well-organized team," Shiancoe said. "I can see I have to work hard here. It's time to work, that's how I'm going to take it.
"Bill and all them, they're going to find a way to just do whatever they have to do," he said. "I don't know what they're going to do, you're going to have to ask Bill about that. But I'm pretty much just chilling right now. I have to really go and get this playbook down, right now."
Shiancoe praised fellow tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez.
"[They're] hard workers," he said. "It's always good to learn from every guy in the league [and] they definitely put some good stuff on film."
