Belichick: Patriots need to grind through
FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots are about to start their sixth practice of training camp and first on the Gillette Stadium field. Head coach Bill Belichick says the team needs to grind through the preseason in preparation for the season.
There's eight more days until the team's first preseason game with the New Orleans Saints and the Patriots are kicking it into high gear.
"It's something all of us needs to go through, players, coaches," Belichick said. "Just to grind through it. Mentally just be ready to get up, go every day, start all over again. Ready to get a good night's rest and have a good day each day.
"That's part of team building, working through it when you're tired, [when] you don't feel good. It's a long season. This is one of the many challenges we all face."
Belichick addressed reporters before Wednesday night's practice, which is open to season ticket holders and residents of Foxborough.
