Good morning. Here is your PDB for Tuesday, August 7, 2012. It contains all the links, info, analysis and occasional humor that you'll need to start your day. If you can't detect sarcasm or take yourself and/or football too seriously, this may not be your thing.

WHAT'S ON TAP

Today
Approx. 1 p.m.: Bill Belichick press conference
1:30-4 p.m.: Training camp practice No. 11 - joint practice with New Orleans Saints

Tomorrow
10 a.m.: Training camp practice No. 12 - joint practice with New Orleans Saints

TO RECAP
The New Orleans Saints arrived Monday - after flying from Ohio (where they had played in the Hall of Fame game) to Massachusetts early Monday morning, the Saints were on the field at Gillette late Monday afternoon for a light workout. The teams will likely be in full pads today.

Got to marry my two favorite sports in today's story on Brandon Lloyd: the receiver attributes his great body control to his background as a high jumper and hurdler.

In the notebook: Tom Brady had his new passing coach, Tom House, on hand Monday to work with both he him and Brian Hoyer on some mechanical tweaks. House, a former MLB pitcher, has also worked with Drew Brees.

Also, be sure to check out our training camp photo gallery, which features the work of our great photographers.

QUOTE/TWEET OF THE DAY
“I feel that football players are the best athletes on the planet because we do have backgrounds in multiple sports and we do have the ability to compete in multiple sports at a high level in my opinion. I think straight line speed doesn’t necessarily transfer to football speed.”
- Lloyd when asked if world's fastest man Usain Bolt could simply walk onto a football field and succeed, as some have suggested

AROUND THE DIVISION
The big news at Jets camp Monday was a full-team brawl, which of course became big news on certain news outlets. On Twitter, some Jets fans grumbled about the fracas being blown out of proportion, but since this team seems to seek attention (Rex Ryan, Tim Tebow trade, Antonio Cromartie, etc, etc), should it really be a surprise?

The Dolphins released their first official depth chart, and rookie Ryan Tannehill is currently listed third at quarterback, behind David Garrard and Matt Moore.

Buffalo native Naaman Roosevelt is fighting for a spot in the Bills' receiver group, but when the starting quarterback calls you "The Man", it's always a good thing.
