FOXBOROUGH -- Good afternoon from Gillette Stadium as the Patriots get ready to host the Philadelphia Eagles in the both teams' second preseason matchup.

Today's game will likely see the Patriots starters play more snaps with the stars playing sparsely in the next couple of games because the team is playing three games in a span of 10 days. Eagles coach Andy Reid has said his team will likely play its starters for three quarters, so the Patriots defense will get a good sense of how to defend against quarterback Michael Vick and explosive running back LeSean McCoy.

The Eagles won their first preseason matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, 24-23. Vick went a paltry 3 of 4 passing for six yards and the Eagles' offense was roundly criticized for their play despite netting 354 yards in the game.

The Patriots, who last played 11 days ago, are coming off a 7-6 win over the New Orleans Saints. Britt Davis, who scored the Patriots' only touchdown on a 3-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, was cut last week.

Here's the rundown on tonight's game.
