Alabama coach Nick Saban was Bill Belichick's defensive coordinator with the Browns in the early 1990s, and the two have maintained a relationship since then.

On Thursday, during his press conference, Saban was asked about the origins of the "star" and "money" positions in his sub defensive positions, and said they come directly from Belichick.

Later in the clip, Saban also says he's brought in former Fall River basketball star Chris Herren (a one-time Celtics player), who has overcome substance abuse, to speak with his team.

The start of the star/money question is around the 5:30 mark.
