Hernandez on crutches, in boot postgame

FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was seen using crutches and with a boot on his right foot after the Patriots lost to the Arizona Cardinals, 20-18, Sunday.

Hernandez was injured in the first quarter on the Patriots' second offensive series. He was blocking on a screen pass to Julian Edelman and suffered what appeared to be a rolled ankle.

The Patriots announced late in the first quarter that his return was questionable. Hernandez never returned to the game.
