Patriots sign DL Terrell McClain, release DL Marcus Forston
FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots have signed defensive lineman Terrell McClain and released defensive lineman Marcus Forston.
McClain is a second-year pro and was a third round draft pick (No. 65 overall) by the Carolina Panthers in 2011. He started 12 games last season for the Panthers, accumulating 19 tackles, a sack, and a fumble recovery. He's 6-feet-2, 291 pounds.
Forston, who signed with the Patriots as a rookie free agent, still had a stall in the Patriots' locker room today. It was the same stall occupied by veteran OL Brian Waters. He had been inactive in the Patriots' first two games before seeing his first NFL playing time against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night on defense and special teams.
