Former Patriots defensive back Dick Felt passed away Saturday in Utah at the age of 79. Felt played for the Boston Patriots from 1962 to 1966. He was an all-star in 1962 and helped the Patriots reach the 1963 AFL Championship game against San Diego.

Before turning pro, Felt starred at Brigham Young University in the 1950s, then served in the Air Force. He coached BYU’s secondary from 1968 to 1993 and also served as the school’s defensive coordinator.
