FOXBOROUGH -- Perhaps it's appropriate on 12-12-12, but Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who wears No. 12, has been named the AFC's offensive player of the week for his role in Monday's 42-14 win over the Houston Texans.

Brady completed 21 of 35 passes for 296 yards, with four touchdowns and no interceptions. It's his 23d time winning the award, an NFL record.
