FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots linebacker Rob Ninkovich was helped off the field after sustaining a hip injury with 6:28 remaining in the second quarter of the season finale vs. the Dolphins. His return was listed as questionable but he did not return to the game.

Members of the Patriots training staff had to help Ninkovich as he shuffled to the sideline. Ninkovich did not stop on the bench, instead going directly to the Patriots locker room.

The team also announced during the second quarter that tight end Daniel Fells had a hand injury. Fells later returned to the game.
