FOXBOROUGH -- Cornerback Aqib Talib, who left Monday's win over the Texans with a hip injury, hasn't missed any practice time this week, but has been limited.

After Thursday's sweats-and-shells practice, Talib was asked about the injury.

"I’m all right, just a day-to-day injury, just working hard three times a day trying to get healthy," Talib said.

How did it happen?

"Oh man, just have to check the tape," he said. "I just remember falling, I don’t remember too much how it happened."

Talib has played in four games since the Patriots acquired him from Tampa Bay Nov. 1, and his arrival has coincided with the defense playing some of its best football of the season. The point total for Patriots opponents has gone down in five straight games.

Another cornerback, rookie Alfonzo Dennard, also left Monday's game with what the team called a hamstring injury.

"I feel pretty good," said Dennard, who also has been limited in practice this week.
