FOXBOROUGH -- Left guard Logan Mankins and defensive end Chandler Jones were back at practice on Thursday, indications that they might be ready to contribute for the Patriots after missing the past few weeks with injuries.

Mankins has missed three straight games and five of the last six with ankle and calf injuries. Jones has been out the last two games with an ankle injury. They also participated in Wednesday's walkthrough held inside the practice bubble. Thursday's practice was outdoors, behind Gillette Stadium.

Tight end Rob Gronkowsi and offensive lineman Nick McDonald were the only eligible Patriots not spotted at practice. Gronkowski is recovering from a broken forearm; McDonald has been dealing with a shoulder injury.

Running back Brandon Bolden, who finished serving a four-game suspension Sunday, is back at practice. If he's healthy -- Bolden missed two games with a knee injury prior to the suspension -- expect him to be added to the active roster before Monday's game with the Houston Texans.
