FOXBOROUGH -- With a little more than a day until the NFL's mandatory deadline to trim rosters to 75 players, the Patriots made a series of roster moves to come closer to that limit.

The Patriots cut WR Kamar Aiken, CB Brandon Jones, LB Niko Koutouvides, CB LeQuan Lewis, and LS Mike Zupancic.

The team also placed DL Cory Grissom and OT Markus Zusevics on injured reserve, while adding defensive lineman Armond Armstead and WR Mark Harrison to the reserve/non football injury list.

The team also re-signed CB Stephon Morris and DL Scott Vallone, both of whom had previously been released by the team during training camp.

The team currently has 77 players on the active roster.
