The Patriots worked out six players, including two quarterbacks and two interior offensive linemen.

Quarterbacks Cley Belton and Nathan Stanley tried out for the team, possibly auditioning for a spot on the team's practice squad. But their tryouts also could spell the end for popular third-string quarterback Tim Tebow, who has struggled this preseason.

The team also worked out OG Chandler Burden, WR Jerrell Jackson, RB Robbie Rouse, and OG Desmond Wynn.

Cornerback Ras-I Dowling, whom the team cut Wednesday, cleared waivers and is a free agent.
