It wasn't just Danny Amendola who played through pain in the Patriots' win over the Bills Sunday.

According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Shane Vereen broke a small bone in his wrist early in the game and requires surgery that will keep him out for multiple weeks.

Glazer also tweeted that Vereen experienced numbness after the game because the affected bone sits on a nerve.

Vereen was slated to get his share of snaps against Buffalo, likely as the primary third-down back, but after Stevan Ridley's second fumble of the day (the first was waved off on review), he saw his play-count rise, and he responded with a career-high 101 rushing yards on 14 carries and also had 58 yards receiving.
