FOXBOROUGH – Matthew Slater was the only player not spotted at Patriots practice on Thursday, with cornerback Marquice Cole returning one day after an excused absence.

Slater has a wrist injury, and hasn't practiced this week. Cole missed practice on Wednesday so he could attend the birth of his child.

Players were in sweats and shells, working on the upper grass field behind Gillette Stadium. Receiver Danny Amendola and tight end Rob Gronkowski were out there, though both were limited in their participation on Monday and Wednesday.
