FOXBOROUGH -- Thanks to the Chargers' win over Denver Thursday night, the road has been cleared for the Patriots to grab the AFC's top playoff seed. Wins in their final three games, starting on Sunday in Miami, would guarantee New England the No. 1 seed and homefield advantage until the Super Bowl.

The Patriots aren't thinking about any of that. Well, they might be thinking about it. But they're not saying they're thinking about it.

"We’re just worried about the Miami Dolphins," is all Danny Amendola would say when asked if the playoff picture is on their minds.

Amendola did say that it's been nice practicing inside the climate-controlled field house this week. With temperatures expected to be in the 80s in Miami this weekend, the heat was cranked up during practice.

"It’s hot in there, everybody’s sweating. It feels like Miami. No palm trees, though," Amendola said.
