After picking up Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner, followed by re-signing Julian Edelman, the Patriots are still hard at work in free agency.

New England will host wide receiver Kenny Britt, according to a report by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Britt, 25, is a 5-year NFL veteran who has spent the entirety of his career with the Tennessee Titans. He only caught 11 passes for 96 yards last year after a career-high 45 receptions for 589 yards and four touchdowns. His most prolific season was in 2010, when he caught 42 passes for 775 yards and nine touchdowns.

The issue with Britt, though, has never been about his talent. He's been a troubled player since he entered the league out of Rutgers, with multiple arrests on his record. He was suspended for one game in 2012 for his run-ins with the police.

The Patriots are obviously kicking the tires here, seeing if there is any value. At 6-3 and 223 pounds, he could push Aaron Dobson as the team's top outside receiver.
