The NFL, which has held the draft at New York City's Radio Music Hall, announced in May 2013 that the location of the event could change in future years after a scheduling conflict pushed the date back.

"A variety of alternatives are being explored, teams were told, including holding the draft at Radio City or at other locations, either in the New York area or in other cities," according to the May 28, 2013 press release.

Boston has a number of venues, not including Foxborough's Gillette Stadium, to handle the made-for-TV event. And it would surely be a boost to the city's local economy with fans of the NFL pouring into the city.
