Adrian Wilson's time in New England will only be a blip in his career and not the final destination.
The 13-year veteran safety has signed with the Chicago Bears after being released by the Patriots April 4.
Wilson never played a down for New England after 12 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He was in competition for the team's strong safety spot in 2013 before suffering an ankle injury in the preseason. The injury led to Wilson being placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
The 5-time Pro Bowl player, and one-time first-team All-Pro, has 893 career tackles, 27 interceptions and 100 passes defensed.
