RICHMOND, Va. — Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski did not take part in joint practices with Washington Monday morning in Richmond, Va.
Gronkowski, the Patriots' star tight end, has been slowly getting back into the mix in training camp, limited to individual drills. The team is likely trying to preserve him as he continues to build up strength in his repaired knee after ACL surgery.
Also missing from practice was running back Brandon Bolden.
Returning to practice after missing most of training camp was defensive back Daxton Swanson.
Newly signed linebacker James Morris, along with wid receiver Matthew Slater, linebacker Deontae Skinner, and cornerback Alfonzo Dennard all dressed for the padded practice but did not take part in team drills.
