RICHMOND, Va. — The practice was lighter and the speed was slowed, but the temperatures remained a blazing 89 degrees.

For the third and final joint practice with Washington, the Patriots went through their walkthrough ahead of Thursday night's game at Fedex Field.

Because it was a walkthrough, there were no individual drills and no competitive sessions like 1-on-1s. Both teams went through a number of scenarios for Thursday night's game, including how to conduct their warmups. And both teams wore shells.

Here are the notes, albeit much briefer than usual:

— Attendance: WR Aaron Dobson (foot, PUP), DB Jemea Thomas, RB Tyler Gaffney, (meniscus), RB Brandon Bolden, TE DJ Williams, LB Cameron Gordon, TE Michael Hoomanawanui, LB Ja'Gared Davis, C Bryan Stork, OL Chris Martin (unknown, NFI), DL Dominique Easley (knee, NFI), WR Jeremy Galon (unknown, PUP), TE Rob Gronkowski, and DL Sealver Siliga were all missing from Wednesday's practice.

— Siliga left Tuesday's practice with a hand injury.

— Williams limped off the field on Tuesday and didn't return. He was seen on Wednesday in a t-shirt and shorts with a sleeve over his right calf.

— Ja'Gared Davis had his jersey on but was not wearing a helmet. He warmed up with the team but did not take part in any drills.

— Ryan Mallett and Jimmy Garoppolo got the vast majority of reps.

— The Patriots worked on squib kicks, goal line situations, and their warmup routine for pregame.

— Washington receiver DeSean Jackson's foot was stepped on, causing him to roll his ankle. He left the field with a trainer to immediately apply ice. Coach Jay Gruden said he still might play tomorrow.

— Practice ended almost an hour earlier than scheduled, likely making up for the extra time spent on Tuesday when the practice lasted almost three hours.
