Outstanding performances by the Patriots
Dan Connolly, Dec. 19, Patriots vs. Packers
The 313-pound offensive lineman also is part of the Patriots' kickoff return team, and when Packers kicker Mason Crosby squibbed a kick to him in the second quarter, Connolly wasn't content to just fall on the ball. He raced 71 yards -- holding the ball in an almost comical vertical fashion cradled in the crook of his arm -- before being tackled at the Packers' 4. Two plays later, the Patriots scored a touchdown. "I've never seen anything happen so slow in my life," quarterback Tom Brady joked. "It was an unbelievable play. That really was a big play in the game ... They won't be kicking it to him anymore, I'll tell you that."
