Eric Mangini
The former Patriots defensive coordinator left after the 2005 season to become coach of the New York Jets and was replaced by defensive coordinator Dean Pees, who left New England after one season. Mangini was fired from the Jets in 2008 after his team finished 9-7 and failed to make the playoffs. He was named to replace another former Patriots assistant, Romeo Crennel, in Cleveland. In January, Browns GM Mike Holmgren fired Mangini after two consecutive 5-11 seasons. He is currently an analyst for ESPN. In September 2011, Mangini hinted that he regretted the end result of "SpyGate," where he was believed to have blown the whistle on the Patriots for videotaping that was in violation of NFL rules.
