Defensive lineman Michael Strahan, the league's record-holder for most sacks in a single season, had a protracted holdout that kept him out of almost all of the team's training camp. Strahan, who was fined heavily for missing so much of the mandatory camp, briefly pondered retirement before returning to the team.
