2008: Jerod MayoThe Patriots traded one of their first and fifth-round selections (No. 7 and 164 overall) to the Saints for New Orleans' first and third-round picks (10 and 78 overall), and used the 10th pick on Tennessee linebacker Jerod Mayo. In 2010, Mayo led the NFL in tackles with 175 and was voted to the Pro Bowl team.
The Patriots also had the 31st pick in 2008 after an undefeated regular season and loss in Super Bowl XLII, but the pick was forfeited as pat of the NFL's punishment for the Patriots' 'Spygate' incident.
