Perhaps more than any position, quarterback is the one best assessed in game action because of all the situations that arise and the quick reaction time necessary to respond to them. The Patriots know they're set with Tom Brady (shown here in front of Kevin O'Connell and Matt Gutierrez), so tonight marks a chance for Matt Cassel (fourth year), Gutierrez (second year), and O'Connell (rookie) to begin to distinguish themselves in the backup derby.
