Quarterback contracts
According to USA Today's salary database, Tom Brady carried the second highest cap hit of NFL quarterbacks last season. Despite a base salary of $5 million, bonuses pushed his cap number to $14.6 million (second only to Peyton Manning at $18.7 million).
Brady's deal, which he signed in 2005, was a six-year contract worth about $60 million that expires after the 2010 campaign and the question is how much will the Patriots have to pay him to stay in New England.
In recent weeks, other marquee quarterbacks have signed big contracts. Here's a look at some of their new deals.
