Significant injuries in Boston sports history

Rob Gronkowski
We'll cover three injuries here with one slide. A high-ankle sprain suffered in the AFC title game limited Gronkowski in Super Bowl XLVI vs. the Giants and likely cost the Patriots dearly in that game. Gronkowski then suffered a broken forearm on Nov. 18, 2012 vs. the Colts and the Patriots most dangerous offensive weapon did not return until the final game of the regular season. In the AFC divisional playoff game against the Texans, Gronkowski injured his broken arm again when he caught a pass from Tom Brady out of bounds and landed on his left arm, taking him out for the remainder of the playoffs.
