Tom Brady
Brady's 2008 season ended barely seven minutes after it began when the Chiefs' Bernard Pollard, an obscure safety whose name will now live in infamy in New England, crashed into the Patriots quarterback's right knee just as he was stepping into a pass. The result was an injury, widely reported to be a torn ACL, that was severe enough to require season-ending surgery. We take a look at other Boston athletes whose injuries come to mind.
