Questionable moves in Patriots history
Ty LawWhile Mike Haynes was the best cornerback ever to play for the Patriots, Law was the most accomplished while wearing a New England uniform. He played for all three Super Bowl champions (though he was injured for much of 2004 after breaking his foot), and in his career he has been a two-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl selection.
But Law, who was outspoken about his demands for a new contract during and after the 2004 season, was let go before the 2005 season as a salary-cap casualty. He signed with the Jets, and intercepted 10 passes in 2005, before again being a cap casualty. He has also played for Kansas City, the Jets again, and Denver.
