Don't get us wrong: Of course we don't believe Tom Brady and Matt Cassel are interchangeable pieces for our local football team. Nevertheless, we find it comforting that Brady (stepping in for an injured Drew Bledsoe in 2001) and Cassel (in for Brady this season) put up fairly similar stats in their first 11 games as the Patriots' starting quarterback. Here's a glance at just how similar their numbers are through their first 11 games as a starter. (Note: We're including Cassel's numbers in Week 1 against Kansas City, since he played 3 1/2 quarters after Brady was injured, though he didn't technically start.)
