Though not everyone was a believer, Cassel started to prove his value as an insurance policy, throwing a career-high 3 TD passes in a 41-6 win in Denver. He threw for 185 yards on 18 for 24 passing. He was also sacked six times and knocked to the turf 11 times. His effort earned him AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
