Patriots-Ravens Rivalry History
When the Patriots and Ravens square off this Sunday in the AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium, they will be bringing into the contest a short, but at times contentious, history. They've played nine times since the Ravens hatched in 1996, and New England leads 7-2, including six of seven regular season games. Baltimore was victorious in the 2010 wild-card match.
There has been some trash talk. In January 2011 Raven linebacker Terrell Suggs told Sirius NFL radio that Tom Bradys three Super Bowl wins are questionable, citing the Tuck Rule game and Spygate. The year before Brady quipped, "They talk a lot for beating us once in nine years.
