Super Bowl XX: Bears 46, Patriots 10
The Cinderella season Patriots were steamrolled by head coach Mike Ditka's Bears in this Jan. 23, 1986, contest, the first Super Bowl appearance for New England. After failing to complete a pass, quarterback Tony Eason was replaced by Steve Grogan, who wasn't able to turn the game around. In the end, the Chicago defense, including Richard Dent and William "Refrigerator" Perry, proved too tough a match for New England. And the Patriots defense could not stop Bears quarterback Jim McMahon's offense.
