Head coach of the Browns
In 1991, Belichick took his first head coaching job with the Cleveland Browns his only other for more than a day besides with the Patriots at age 38, making him the youngest head coach in the NFL at the time. He spent five seasons in Cleveland, turning around a franchise that went from a 3-13 season in 1990 to the second-best record (11-5) in the AFC in 1994. The Browns defeated the Patriots in the wild-card game, 20-13, on New Years Day, but fell to the Steelers, 29-9, in the next round. Midseason talks of the Browns moving to Baltimore after 1995 proved to be a distraction, and the team finished 5-11.
