LIGHTER SIDE SUPER BOWL DIARY | DAY 4
Pats fans arrive, and it's magicSometimes you stroll up to the plate, get a hanger, and rip an upper-deck blast that leaves the visiting crowd in shock.
Well New England thats what we did last night. WAAAAAY BACK! At first, I wasnt sure how the Rattle Donkey party was going to shake out. I have to admit, I had my doubts. But why on earth would I doubt Patriots Nation? Never again, I tell you that. Never, EVER again. The people came, my newest of friends, to chill, get some T-shirts, and show their pride. I thought it was tremendous when Ed Harding came by and rode the bull. No offense, Ed. But when the Best Damn Sports Show, Period! showed up, and Brooke Burns also known as the host of NBCs Dog Eat Dog, rode the bull, suddenly nothing else mattered. Did I forget to mention: BROOKE BURNS WAS THERE! It was surreal. Im hosting a party of New Englanders, hanging out and meeting some incredibly cool people (including my Super Bowl Mama, Joanne Wall from Middleton, R.I.), and within minutes a former Baywatch star is dancing on the bar. AT MY PARTY. WHAAAAAAT?! And then with a bright light shining in my eyes, Brooke Burns is asking me what the heck the Rattle Donkey is and what were doing there. Well were here to show everyone that were the best damn football team in 2004, period. Thats what I said. And I meant it. I dont know if it will get on the show this segment will air Monday when they summarize Brookes adventures in Houston, but be sure to check it out. And yes, Im decked out in old-school Patriots garb. Because it should never be any other way. All right I havent been to bed again, so I need some shut-eye. Apparently Im on a VIP list for a Shannon Elizabeth party. Enjoy the snow, suckers. Just kidding. I love you all, and you know it.
See you on the Lighter Side. |
