Fan's guide to training camp

The Patriots hold training camp at their practice facility next to Gillette Stadium. Most practices are open to the public, and there are numerous other options away from the practice field. Click on a red dot for details about each location.

Directions


From Boston and farther north:
Take I-95 South to Exit 9. Follow Rte. 1 south approximately 3 miles to Gillette Stadium (on the left).

From Cape Cod:
I-495 North to Exit 14A. Follow Rte. 1 north about 4 miles to Gillette Stadium (on the right).

From southern Connecticut, Rhode Island:
Take I-95 North to I-495 North to Exit 14A. Follow Rte. 1 north about 4 miles to Gillette Stadium (on the right).

From northern Connecticut, Vermont, upstate New York:
I-90 East to I-495 South to Exit 14A. Follow Rte. 1 north about 4 miles to Gillette Stadium (on the right).

Camp overview


The New England Patriots will open their 53d annual training camp on Thursday, July 26, with practice scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium. The players will report to Gillette Stadium July 25.

Practices are open to the public on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium. Although the full training camp schedule is not yet available, the Patriots will practice July 26, 27, 28 and 29 at 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The practice schedule throughout training camp is tentative and subject to change. Fans planning to attend practice are encouraged to check Patriots.com for daily updates or call the training camp hotline at (508) 549-0001.

Parking and admission are free.

Practice times


With new rules in place regarding practices, schedules for training camp sessions have been announced as they become available. The first four days of practice are scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Check the Patriots' web site for the latest updates.

Rain Policy


When the Patriots are forced to practice indoors due to inclement weather or poor field conditions, practices will be closed to the public. Fans should visit Patriots.com or call the training camp hotline at 508-549-0001 prior to every practice for up-to-the minute changes in the daily practice schedule.

Concessions


Popcorn, hamburgers, sausages, hot dogs, pizza, frozen lemonade, ice cream and cold beverages will be available for purchase at training camp. Stands will be positioned at various locations, including Patriots Fan Zone and the practice fields.

Patriots Fan Zone


Besides watching practice, fans attending training camp can enjoy other types of family entertainment, including the Patriots Fan Zone. Patriots Fan Zone is an interactive football-themed playground, features interactive games allowing fans to test their kicking, passing and tackling skills on a variety of obstacle courses and similar challenges. Fans can also enjoy games, music, face painting and appearances by the Patriots Cheerleaders. The theme park is located adjacent to the West Suite/Clubhouse lot along the route from the public parking lots to the practice fields.

All fans participating in the Patriots Fan Zone must sign a waiver form, available at training camp or online at Patriots.com. You can also check the Patriots' website for a daily schedule.

Prohibited Items


To ensure that all fans have a safe and enjoyable visit to Gillette Stadium for Patriots Training Camp, the following items are prohibited:
  • Video Cameras
  • Flags will be allowed (no more than 2 feet in length)
  • Any alcoholic beverages
  • Weapons of any kind (including knives)
  • Illegal drugs or any other illegal substance
  • Coolers
  • Fireworks or pyrotechnics
  • Animals, except service animals assisting those with disabilities
  • Noise makers
  • Bullhorns and air horns
  • Helium balloons
  • Beach balls
  • Laser pens
  • Any other item deemed inappropriate by stadium management
No prohibited items will be accepted at training camp for safekeeping. Fans are reminded to please leave all such items secured in their vehicles. Individuals with possession of a prohibited item(s) may be denied admission to training camp, ejected, arrested and prosecuted. Prohibited items that are discovered at training camp will be confiscated.

Pro Shop


The Patriots Pro Shop will be open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. The Pro Shop is located on the northeast corner of the stadium below The Hall at Patriots Place. Fans may access the Pro Shop by car or by the staircase on the north side of the stadium. Times will vary depending on the daily practice schedule, opening at least 45 minutes before and closing at least 45 minutes after each practice session. Call (888) 662-PATS for exact daily hours.

Patriot Place


Patriot Place features a wide variety of shopping experiences offering everything from major fashion retailers and unique shops, to the first Bass Pro Shops in New England. There is something for everyone at Patriot Place. Restaurants include: CBS Scene, Bar Louie, FIve Guys Burgers, Davio's, Red Robin, Skipjack's, and much more.
