Sing us a song

We asked you to come up with a theme song for the Patriots, or a song that best describes the team. This was actually a fairly easy one to judge, because there were a lot of repeat entries.

Queen's "We are the Champions," "We Will Rock You," and "Another One Bites the Dust" were submitted many times, and of course are very fitting.

U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday" was also submitted a handful of times, as was "Simply the Best" by Tina Turner.

One song we expected to see more of was "Respect," though Linda of Westford had dibs on it.

Geoff from Marlboro suggested "Dig In" by Lenny Kravitz, because it deals with the emotional and spiritual obstacles that the team has overcome in order to reach the Super Bowl.

Not bad, and neither was Beth from Leominster's entry of "Keep the Faith" by Bon Jovi, because New England fans have always believed in the Pats while nay sayers around the country and the media said they couldn't do it.

The winning song was actually submitted by a few people, but Michael of Milton said it best when he suggested "Taking care of Business." He said it describes the Patriots because they do just that. No show boating. No taunting. No Hollywood types. They only care about winning games.
