Rosevelt Colvin, who appeared in every game this season after missing almost all of the 2003 season with a fractured hip, became one of the most valuable backup linebackers in the league with 38 tackles and five sacks (tied for third on the team). He showed he was healthy with five tackles in Week 1 against the Colts, and continued to thrive through the playoffs – his early fourth-down stop of Jerome Bettis in the AFC title game caused a Steelers fumble, and the Patriots put up a touchdown on the next play.
