Larry Izzo has never been judged on his linebacking abilities. He’s too busy being lauded for his special teams prowess. Izzo will be attending his third Pro Bowl on the strength of his team-best 27 special teams tackles (he added two more in the postseason). He’s a captain and spiritual leader with an intensity level matched by few in the Patriots locker room. Over his four seasons in New England, Izzo has tallied 99 special teams tackles and has missed just one game.
