Bruschi's back

Linebacker Tedy Bruschi’s comeback took another step forward today, with the Patriots activating him off the physically unable to perform list.

The 32-year-old Bruschi is expected to play in Sunday night’s game against the Bills. He projects to see action on early downs and on the punt team.

The 6-foot-1, 247-pound linebacker has been participating in practices since Oct. 19.

Asked about Bruschi earlier this week, head coach Bill Belichick said: “He hasn’t played in a while, so … Tedy works hard. I think he’s doing his best to get caught up, and we’ll see where that takes us. [He’s not at a point] like where guys practicing 10-11-12 weeks are, but he’s an experienced player, has a good background, and a good base to build off.”
