BRUSCHI HONOR: Linebacker Tedy Bruschi was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his effort in the Patriots’ 21-16 win over the Bills. According to the NFL, Bruschi is the first player in NFL history to return to the playing field after suffering a mild stroke. He was credited with 10 tackles, six of which came within three yards of the line of scrimmage. Now in his 10th season, this is Bruschi’s fifth career Player of the Week award and his third in his last 14 games.

Looking ahead, we’ll plan on posting our next update Thursday after Bill Belichick’s scheduled press conference (10:45 a.m. ET).
