Quick hits
* The Patriots shook up their practice schedule this week due to Thanksgiving, and that meant today (Tuesday) was a normal practice day. Usually, Tuesday is a players’ day off. Instead, the team will have Thursday off for Thanksgiving. Assistant head coach/offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia ran the practice. There was no media access.
* Patriots owner Robert Kraft received the prestigious Theodore Roosevelt Award from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Jerome Solomon had the story in today’s Boston Globe, with Kraft touching on the humbling honor, his thoughts on Bill Belichick and his hope that the Gillette Stadium crowd will turn up the volume in the coming weeks.
* The New England Patriots Women’s Association, headed by Julie Ashworth and Erin Chatham, is hosting a fundraiser on Tuesday, Nov. 29 called “For the Children.” The event, a parenting seminar, will be held at Christina’s (Rte. 1, Foxboro) and will feature Mac and Barbara Bledsoe. Tickets are $75. For more information, contact Beth Sousa at 401-276-4336.
