Evans' terms
Running back/fullback Heath Evans' contract with the Patriots is a one-year, $585,000 package. The deal includes a $25,000 signing bonus and a $6,160 workout bonus.
The contract is eligible for the veteran minimum benefit, meaning it only counts $456,160 against the salary cap.
Evans, who joined the team on Nov. 1, 2005 as a free agent, provides depth at running back, where the Patriots have Corey Dillon, Kevin Faulk and Patrick Pass atop the depth chart.
