Iron men

Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi and head coach Bill Belichick are hitting the links this week.

Bruschi is playing in the Spaulding Golf Tournament today, which is being held at the TPC Boston. Tournament proceeds benefit the Tedy Bruschi Therapeutic Gymnasium in the new Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital being built in the Charlestown Navy Yard.

Meanwhile, Belichick is scheduled to play in the Buick Championship Travelers Celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday. That event is being held at the TPC at River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn. Belichick is scheduled for an 8:50 a.m. tee time, playing in a group with professional Olin Browne. Former Patriots quarterback Doug Flutie is also scheduled to play –- he’s paired in a foursome with ESPN’s Chris Berman to play with pro Joey Sindelar.
